Course summary

Informed Consent

Informed Consent has always been of vital importance to all healthcare practitioners but the case of Montgomery v Lanarkshire Health Board (2015) put clinicians’ practice of consenting patients back in to the spotlight. This one-day course will clarify the principles of informed consent as well as provide an overview of the current law relating to treatment of those who lack capacity, the issues with digital consent and how to consent during remote consultations.
